Hospitality Committee

Summit Art provides a Hospitality Area in the back of the GOT Art Gallery on Third Street throughout the festival weekend for all exhibiting artists and all festival volunteers. Private restroom facilities are located there which need supplies and light upkeep. A variety of snacks and beverages are provided which need setup, service, re-filling and light cleanup. Tables and chairs provide a place to sit and relax for a few moments to get out of the sun, regenerate, make new friends and chat with others.

Our hospitality committee also provides volunteers to act as “booth-sitters” for any artists who may be exhibiting on their own and need a short break from working their booth. Boxed lunches are also provided for each exhibiting artist and need to be ordered and delivered to each booth at lunchtime.

Our Hospitality Volunteers are the smiling, friendly and helpful faces that represent Summit Art throughout the event making sure our visitors and exhibitors have a wonderful weekend! If you’ve got an hour or two available during the festival weekend, we’d love to have you join our Hospitality Crew!

Information Booth

Volunteers are needed to staff our Festival Information Booth throughout the entire festival weekend, in two-hour shifts.  The booth is located in the main intersection of SW Main Street and Third Street, right in the heart of the festival event site.  In this booth, our festival greeters will pass out flyers, give directions, answer questions, sell Featured Artist posters and other festival promotional items, take donations, and help visitors purchase tickets for the raffle drawings.  It’ll be a terrific weekend to sit outside and enjoy the weather, with great people-watching, and in a perfect location to view all the festival attractions!

Check In

Exhibiting artists will be arriving to the festival on Friday morning, October 12, 2018, and we will need lots of friendly helpers directing traffic, passing out artist packets and helping unload.

Clean Up

It’s very important that we keep our downtown area clean, beautiful and inviting to our weekend guests!  Consider joining our Clean-Up Crew and help us maintain a positive image with light trash disposal, trash liner replacement and general pick up, keeping our sidewalks clear for customers of our local downtown businesses within the festival site.
